Ramtek-heritage-site Ramtek town in Nagpur district situated at a distance of 57 kms from the city of Nagpur is the site of historic temples of Lord Ram and Lakshman believed to have been built in the 14th century. Ramtek was the place where Lord Ram rested when he was in exile. Located on average elevations of 345 metres these ancient temples are built of stone. There are 27 Brahmanical style temples on top of the hill.

The complex looks down from the hill to the open green expanse below providing great views of the rural landscape. Khindasi Lake is an important tourist attraction close to Ramtek. Shri Ramtek Teerath, a famous Jain temple on the outskirts of Ramtek town is also worth visiting.
